This was announced by the Acting Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine, Oleksandr Porhun, during the Veteran Business Forum “Supporting Veteran Entrepreneurship: From National to Regional Perspective.”
The head of the Ministry of Veterans noted that the draft Law on veteran entrepreneurship has already been prepared by deputies together with the Ministry of Veterans, other central authorities, the Ukrainian Veterans’ Fund, the public sector and veterans. It is currently being considered by the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights.
“We have to adopt the law of Ukraine on veteran entrepreneurship. As early as next week, the document is planned to be included in the agenda of the Committee for adoption as a basis and to be brought to the hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for voting in the first reading. I am sure that we will walk this path with pride, and the new law will consolidate veteran entrepreneurship at the state level,” Oleksandr Porhun stressed.
In particular, the draft law defines the concept of veteran entrepreneurship, the principles of state policy in this area, establishes the types and forms of state support for veteran businesses.
